As a part of the Tsunami relief project for Tranquebar, BESTSELLER FUND together with INTACH and SJDT has built a new and more modern school which 400 low-caste children will attend to receive lessons and get a good education that will give them a great start in life.
A building of high quality
It has taken two years to build the new school for 400 children and a training centre in a small village outside Tranquebar. The buildings’ architectural look is traditional Indian style and in high quality. Already now the school has been mentioned as the best school building in Tamil Nadu. BESTSELLER FUND has leased the land next to the existing school for 15 years and has also built a training centre there to create a natural meeting point for the Woman Self-help Groups and Child Rights Committees.
