The Children’s Parliament and the Child Right Committee are two of the main components of SJDT and BESTSELLER FUND’s tuition centre programme. Children Parliament is a committee formed by children on their own initiative and selecting of different ministers by election to solve the issues and to make decisions on their own. The teachers help the children in forming the groups and inform them about the benefits of the Children Parliament.
Children ruling their world
A child parliament consists of a Prime Minister, a secretary, and four different ministers like law minister, communication minister, health minister, and social welfare minister. Each minister has their own responsibilities to accomplish in cooperation with other students.
The purposes of forming children parliament are:
• To make the children more self disciplined
• To develop decision making power in the children
• To develop the spirit of social service in the children
• To help and facilitate the children to share their views
• To develop service mentality in the minds of children
• To capacitate the children to identify the social issues
