INTACH is a nation-wide, non-profit organization and the main aims are to protect, preserve, and promote the rich heritage of India's natural and cultural heritage.
India is a land of extraordinary heritage and while government agencies are able to protect few thousand monuments, there are still thousands of beautiful heritage sites that remain unprotected. To address this urgent need to protect India’s national heritage, The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage, INTACH was set up in 1984.
Today they are pioneers in the field of heritage conservation in India. This is one of the main reasons why BESTSELLER FUND has a close partnership with INTACH in Tranquebar that until recently was an unprotected cultural pearl. Today INTACH and BESTSELLER FUND collaborate in various projects from the old Danish Governor building, building new school - to restoration of old Tamil houses and the restoration of the Governor Building etc.
